Love Your Youthful Looks with Microneedling

Microneedling is a noninvasive procedure designed to reduce fine lines and wrinkles and tighten skin. Your aesthetician will use a hand-held microneedling device to penetrate your skin and kick-start your body’s production of collagen, creating younger-looking skin.

We favor the hand-held Eclipse MicroPen Evo, a cordless dermal microneedling device with advantages over older devices. This device allows your aesthetician to customize your treatment for predictable and optimum clinical results.

The Benefits of Microneedling

Microneedling is a non-invasive treatment that effectively reduces the presence of fine lines and wrinkles.

  • There is a low risk of side effects
  • The procedure takes only a few minutes to complete

Your Microneedling
Treatment Experience

Your aesthetician will apply a topical anesthetic cream to the target area an hour before your microneedling treatment. The microneedling device contains sterile needles that penetrate the skin. After cleansing your skin, your aesthetician will glide the device over your skin. The sensation experienced by patients during treatment can be compared to a mild sandpaper sensation.

The Five Rs of Facial Rejuvenation

Introducing 'The 5Rs to Facial Rejuvenation' – a transformative blend of surgical and non-surgical methods to combat aging signs, featuring muscle relaxation, volume restoration, skin revitalization, tissue repositioning, and facial volume reduction.

R1 – Relax Muscles

Smooth out wrinkles and relax facial muscles with our muscle relaxer treatments, including Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, and Daxxi. These treatments can also help reduce migraines and excessive sweating, as well as correct gummy smiles for a more refreshed and confident you.

R2 – Replenish Lost Volume

Rediscover youthful volume and contour your face with our range of fillers like Juvéderm, Restylane, RHA, Sculptra, and Radiesse, whether you experience volume loss from weight loss or aging. Combining muscle relaxation (R1) with volume replenishment (R2) can make a significant impact, further enhanced by volume reduction (R5), tissue repositioning (R4), and skin restoration (R3) techniques for exceptional results.

R3 – Restore the Skin

Enhance your skin's texture, health, and appearance with our diverse range of skin resurfacing and tightening devices at Integrated Aesthetics. Our tailored options cater to various skin concerns, such as discoloration, pore size, fine lines, and mild skin laxity, providing you with personalized solutions for radiant skin.

R4 – Reposition the Tissue

As we age, our tissues tend to sag. Repositioning the tissue can provide a more lifted appearance, and we offer surgical options like facelifts (mini, full, or extended) and neck lifts, as well as minimally invasive treatments using threads like Silhouette InstaLift, PDO threads, or MyEllevate to lift and reposition the tissues internally.

R5 – Reduce Facial Volume

Sometimes, aging can lead to excess fullness instead of volume loss, particularly under the chin (double chin) or in the jowl area. Reducing this fullness not only improves the double chin region but also enhances the transition from the lower face to the neck. We offer various procedures, such as Kybella to dissolve fat, AccuTite to tighten or melt fatty tissue, liposuction for fat removal, or CoolSculpting to freeze the fat, as effective solutions.

Do you offer alternative procedures?

There are many alternatives to microneedling to treat fine lines and wrinkles. Dr. Chiang will meet with you to recommend the procedure that is right for you. Alternative procedures include Morpheus8 (Microneedling + Radiofrequency); chemical peels; IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) therapy; laser resurfacing; and Dermal Infusions.

What is automated microneedling?

Automated Microneedling (also known as Epidermal Collagen Induction Therapy or ECIT) is a new innovation in aesthetic medicine for the treatment of the appearance of fine lines, acne scars, and the improvement of the skin’s texture, tone, and color. During this procedure, the Eclipse MicroPen® is used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to aid in the production of collagen and elastin. The skin’s repair process results in a thicker epidermis with a softer appearance of wrinkles. Eclipse MicroPen® Elite also creates micro-channels that allow topical gels, creams, and serums to be absorbed more effectively, enhancing the effects in deeper layers of the skin.

What are the benefits of microneedling?

This procedure reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improves your skin tone and texture, and creates softer, younger-looking skin with fewer signs of aging. The Eclipse Micro-Pen® Elite can improve the appearance of uneven skin tone, acne scars, traumatic scars, and stretch marks.

What areas of the body can you treat with microneedling?

Micro-Pen® Elite can be used on all parts of the body, including the face, neck décolleté, arms, hands, legs, abdomen, and back.

How is the procedure performed?

A sterile cartridge containing 12 tiny micro-points is attached to the Micro-Pen® Elite. Your skincare professional will apply sterile saline to your skin and select the appropriate pen position based on your unique needs. Next, in a single motion, the pen will be gently pressed against the skin while simultaneously gliding in one direction until the entire treatment area has been covered.

What does microneedling feel like?

The feeling associated with the Eclipse Micro-Pen® Elite is similar to sandpaper being moved across the skin. While some areas are more sensitive than others, the speed of the reciprocating tip makes the treatment more comfortable.

What else do I need to know?

  • The results of microneedling are temporary.
  • Multiple treatments are needed to get the full benefit.
  • At-home devices can damage your skin and leave scars.

Are there risks involved?

Microneedling is considered to be a safe procedure when performed by a well-trained aesthetician. Some people find that their skin becomes red, warm, itchy, or tight for a couple of days after treatment.

When will I see the results of microneedling?

Patients notice an immediate “glow” to their skin. Visible changes to the skin develop over the course of several weeks. Results can continue to improve up to six months after the treatment.
