All About the Silhouette InstaLift Procedure

The ideal thread lift candidate is typically between the ages of 30 and 60, with skin that is just beginning to show some of the most common signs of aging in the face and/or neck areas. This procedure is primarily for patients with minimal sagging, as those with more advanced stages of facial aging will benefit more readily from a traditional facelift.

The sutures used in this procedure are made of synthetic and absorbable polydioxanone, also known as “PDO.” PDO is one of the safest materials that can be implanted into the body, and is the same material that is frequently utilized for heart surgeries. The completely safe nature of PDO allows these special sutures to actually stay in your body and create lasting results.

The Silhouette InstaLift threads are made of poly lactic-co-glycolic acid (PLGA), a biocompatible material that also produces a strong collagen response as the suture resorbs in facial tissue. The sutures also differ from the other sutures because of the small micro cones that enable a strong grip to the inside of the tissue and allows for the lifting of the facial tissues.

The Silhouette Instalift

Silhouette InstaLift is a simple, in-office procedure that re-contours your face by lifting the deeper layers of your skin for a more youthful, supple appearance.

During a short in-office procedure, Dr. Cho or Dr. Climov will insert the patented Silhouette InstaLift sutures to lift the deeper layers of the skin in your mid-face or cheek area. The treatment does not require general anesthesia and typically takes 45 minutes to complete. You’ll see your results right away, and the recovery time is minimal.

The unique Silhouette InstaLift sutures are naturally absorbed by your body over time, where they will work to actively stimulate your body’s production of collagen. This helps your skin retain moisture more effectively, creating natural-looking, long-lasting results that essentially rejuvenate your look from the inside out.

R3 – Restore the Skin

R5 – Reduce Facial Volume

Sometimes, instead of having volume lost as we age, we develop excess fullness. It can be fullness under our chin (double chin) or in the jowl area. If we reduce the fullness in the double chin region, it’s also going to help define the transition from the lower face to the neck. This can be done with procedures that either dissolve the fat (Kybella), tighten or melt the fatty tissue (AccuTite), remove the fat (Liposuction), or even freeze the fat (CoolSculpting).

The results of NovaThread can last up to a year. The Silhouette InstaLift can last for one to three years.
