Dermatologists are the only physicians that have advanced medical training in skin, hair and nails. They have completed the following:
- Four years of undergraduate education.
- Four years of medical school.
- One year of internship.
- Three years of dermatology residency, spending thousands of hours directly treating dermatological conditions under the guidance of experts in the field.
When you choose a dermatologist, who is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology, the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology, or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, you are assured that your physician has had the most rigorous education in the field of skin health and disease. There are many practitioners, including non-physicians, who claim to be skin experts. Please note that there are many other types of boards, and other certifications do not reflect the same training or expertise.
We take pride in offering comprehensive treatments that address multiple concerns. The team at Integrated Aesthetics offers a multi-faceted approach – with a dermatologist, plastic surgeon, nurses, patient coordinators and aestheticians on staff. Instead of a one-size-fits all method to cosmetic enhancement, we draw upon each physician’s specialized expertise to customize the treatment for you.
